Anstatt immer allein und auf eigene Faust die Welt zu erobern, haben zehn Musiker aus der Playlist von Fritz Unsigned erstmals ihre kreativen Kräfte vereint und gemeinsame Sache gemacht.

Fritz Unsigned ist eigentlich nur eine Radiosendung. Zwei Stunden in der Woche reserviert für Musik ohne Plattenvertrag. Inzwischen ist daraus aber auch eine Art Gemeinschaft geworden. Die Musiker kennen einander, treten zusammen auf und empfehlen sich gegenseitig weiter.

Der logische nächste Schritt: Zusammen neue Musik produzieren. 10 Unsigned Acts machen den Anfang - 5 Producer remixen 5 Bands aus der Sendung.

***DIY 2 DIT - Von Do It Yourself zu Do It Together***

Das Ergebnis: Eine 5-Track-EP mit ganz unterschiedlichen Songs und Sounds. Vom dunklen, klaustrophobischen Wummern bei Jim Hickeys Variante von Tom Kloses "Born A Lion" , über die Dancefloor-Attacke, die K Bastian aus "Left Room" von Peter Piek geschnitzt hat, bis zum breitschultrigen Kopfnicker zu dem Dotas "Konfetti" in den Händen von Dare Deep wurde.

Eine EP von und mit Musikern ohne Plattenvertrag, die komplett aus dem eigenen Netzwerk entstanden ist. Es steckt voller Talent und Kreativität. Man muss nur die Mauern zwischen sich und den anderen einreißen: DIY 2 DIT!

***Fritz Unsigned Remixed – Musicians without labels working together***

Instead of continuously trying to takeover the world on their own, ten musicians from the playlist of Berlin’s own “Fritz Unsigned” radio show have combined their creative powers to get their own project up and running.

Fritz Unsigned is really only a radio show. Two hours per week reserved for independently released music. Over time, a community has developed around the ideals of the show. Musicians have got to know each other and, as a result, have ended up gigging together, hanging out and promoting each other to their own audience.

The next logical step: to produce music together. 10 Unsigned Acts have got the ball rolling – 5 producers remixed 5 bands from the show.

The result: a 5 track EP with a diverse array of sounds and songs. From the dark, claustrophobic chaos of Jim Hickey’s adaption of Tom Klose’s “Born a Lion”, the dance floor attack added by K Bastian to Peter Piek’s “Left Room”, or the anthemic electronic folk in Dare Deep’s version of Dota’s “Konfetti”.

An EP made from and with musicians without record deals, who all came together from growing network of talented and creative musicians to show what the unsigned scene has to offer. One needs only to tear down the wall between themself and others: DIY 2 DIT!
